History

History:Borde Hill Gardens are set in 200 acres of Grade 11* listed parkland and woodland. It holds a nationally important collection of trees and shrubs, including 80 'champion' trees. At the heart of the garden is Borde Hill House, a Tudor mansion built by Sir Stephen Borde in 1598. His family came from Cuckfield.
