There are two blocks on the east and west sides to provide access to the basins on these sides. |

Object Condition
Overall condition: | Fair |
Risk assessment: | At risk |
Condition 1 of type: | Surface |
Condition 1: | Surface spalling, crumbling |
Condition 2: | Abrasions, cracks, splits |
Condition 3: | Corrosion, Deterioration |
More details: | The baldacchino and the capital are severely weather worn, particularly on the south face – very little of the detailed carving remains visible. |
Condition 2 of type: | Structural |
Condition 1: | Broken or missing parts |
Condition 2: | Replaced parts |
More details: | The fountain apparently had a finial and it is understood that this has been removed for safe keeping. The corner of the stepping block on the east face has been broken off. The fountain has been connected to the main and does work through modern taps. There appears to be a rather unsightly repair to the panel on the north side – where a small rectangle of similar granite appears to have been attached to the surface of the existing panel. |
