Description: | A shingle garden with variable sized wooden posts carved from old groynes. On the western side is a single carved sculpture from similar wood. The shingle has inset planks of old wooden groynes forming loose paths. At various points there are carved wooden information boards about the project and the plants. The whole garden is planted with species that require little water to survive. |

History
History: | The designer, John Marder, is a freelance horticulturist and garden designer. He also lectures at Chichester College. He was assisted in the design work by the Parks & Engineering Sections of Worthing Borough Council. The garden was built with the help of students from Oak Grove College; Elm Grove First School; West Park First & Middle Schools; Our Lady of Sion School, Worthing. The project cost £50,000. |
