Description:Memorial plaque originally from the old West Sussex Hospital in Broyle Road, Chichester removed on its closure in 1994. The plaque is mounted on the wall and to the side are framed prints of King George V and Queen Mary, again taken from the old West Sussex Hospital.

AS THE CHICHESTER INFIRMARY,
RECONSTRUCTED AND ENLARGED 1912
BY THE GENEROSITY OF
MR. WILLIAM JAMES OF WEST DEAN
PARK, AND OTHER RESIDENTS OF
THE COUNTY, AS A MEMORIAL TO THE
LATE KING EDWARD VII.
THE EAST AND WEST BALCONIES WERE
ERECTED BY THE PERSONAL FRIENDS OF
THE LATE MR. WILLIAM JAMES
AS A MEMORIAL TO HIM. THE HOSPITAL
WAS REOPENED BY HIS MAJESTY
