Object listing:Not listed
Description:Faces south west and north east in the middle of a grassed, planted roaundabout. A large red and rusted steel spiral ending with a flying figure.
Iconographical description:The artists' vision is expressed in the following description:- ''.. there are three broad elements to the work. They are a (Celtic) spiral, a human figure with arms outstretched and by association, the ideal of a plane taking off. The link between the figure and the idea of the plane calls to mind the playground games where children run around with outstretched arms. The resulting form lends itself to a number of possible interpretations''. (Crawley Borough Council website)
