John Ravera - Biography


(1915-). Born in Surrey, he was educated at Camberwell Junior Schools and Camberwell School of Art (1954-62). One of his sculpture tutors was the Czech ex-patriot artist Karel Vogel. Ravera has taught at the Woolwich Adult Education Centre and at the Sidcup Art Centre. He is a member of the Society of Portrait Sculptors and the Royal Society of British Sculptors. He has exhibited at the RA, the Woodlands Art Gallery and the Alwin Gallery. He lives at Bexleyheath, Kent. He has produced figurative sculpture in a wide variety of materials. (Source: D.
