Jon Mills - Biography
(1959-). Born in Birmingham, Mills studied art at Wolverhampton Polytechnic (1979--82) before being awarded a grant by the Crafts Council to set up his own craft metal-working business. He has had solo exhibitions at Wolverhampton Art Gallery (1996), Hartlepool Art Gallery (1999) and Kings Lynn Arts Centre (1999), as well as participating in the touring group exhibition Devious Devices (1998). He specialises in working in steel in various guises and produces architectural pieces, furniture and mechanical automata as well as sculpture.
