Charles Archibald Nicholson - Biography
(1867- 1949). 2nd Baronet. Nicholson was well-known as an ecclesiastical architect. He was the son of Sir Charles Nicholson, 1st Baronet. His brother Archibald Keightley Nicholson (1871-1937) was a stained glass artist and his other brother Sidney, a church musician. Nicholson was the consultant architect for seven cathedrals in total as well as the designer of Government House in Jamaica. His work includes St. Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast (architect at the Cathedral 1924-1948), St. Sepulchre-without-Newgate (1932) and St. Mary's, Bournemouth.
